the story

Navigating the challenging proposition of parenting in our modern day, Catherine was struck by the vast number of mothers in exceptionally difficult situations.

Driven by the desire to take mothers from surviving to thriving, she crafted a program that weaves in art, health, education, personal expression, music and FUN.

The program’s aim is to create a space for women to nourish themselves and discover a sustainable self-care practice that balances taking care of oneself and also others. Through these practices and celebrating themselves mothers can deepen their well of strength, power and purpose and model a strong sense of self for their children.

MILK is currently offering an ongoing Creative Connection Workshop in the maternal unit at the Indianapolis Women’s Prison. The MILK community continues to grow and is always open to new ways to support mothers’ inherent strength and power.
